Oregon named one of six “States on the Move to Afterschool for All” by Afterschool Alliance


“States on the Move to Afterschool for All” have been successful in increasing
participation in quality afterschool programs, limiting the incidence in self care over the
past five years and advancing the field of afterschool within their states.The new study also found a significant increase in percentage of children in afterschool programs as well as high satisfaction rates among parents.  “Oregon is making important strides in expanindg afterschool opportunities to children and families, and can be proud of that,” said Afterschool Alliance Executive Director Jodi Grant.  The Afterschool Alliance cautioned , however, that Oregon still has a long way to go.  To see the full news release and information from the study…..
