Our Afterschool Resource Center offers resources through the website including links to research, publications and other sites that offer extensive information. In addition, we have compiled lists by county of agencies and organizations that support quality afterschool programming. The Oregon Department of Education has partnered with OregonASK through the Afterschool Resource Center to offer technical assistance to 21st CCLC grantees and their program sites. Registration is limited to 20 participants Engaging English Language Learners in Afterschool How many different languages do you hear in a day? Chances are at least two! As our communities become more diverse, a rich variety of languages become more and more a part of our daily lives. In this workshop we will explore the foundations of language development and discover strategies for supporting English language development for non-native speakers. We will study how to create a learning environment full of activities and projects that meet each learner’s needs.
