Program Quality

OregonASK believes that quality afterschool programs are committed to providing each child and youth with a enriching experience that enhances their growth and learning opportunities.  To support programs and communities in understanding and identifying what quality programs look like, OregonASK has begun the process of working with the field to create quality standards for Oregon.

Quality standards will be designed to give programs a framework for what best practices in afterschool programs look like for children and youth.  The intention of these standards will be to guide programs in assessing their own level of quality, policy makers in recognizing and supporting quality improvement efforts and to enhance the overall development and enrichment of children and youth in Oregon.
