Oregon hosts National Afterschool Association
Summer Affiliate Meeting

The affiliate leads of the National Afterschool Association joined our team here in Oregon for their annual Summer Meeting. The group spent a day and half with their sleeves rolled up, envisioning the future of the NAA and developing strategies to continue to support the network and the affiliates in increasingly effective ways. Their work was deliberate and productive towards their goal of clarifying roles and strengthening the partnership between the Afterschool Association and the affiliates and members.

An afterschool network is a tool for working toward quality youth development opportunities that ensure all students are successfully educated and prepared for life's opportunities. A statewide network provides guidance to develop high-quality services in all out-of-school time environments from early childhood through high school and beyond. The afterschool network for Oregon includes all organization and decision-makers that work within or have an interest in youth development.
